After the banquet, Jenkins received her commemorative plaque at a recent NAACP Collin County Branch meeting. This gave NAACP members and community partners a chance to recognize her dedication and leadership.

People at the meeting praised her steady advocacy and her ability to bring residents together to address important social and civic issues.

Jenkins has served as president of the NAACP Collin County Branch since 2016, helping the group become more visible and influential.

With her guidance, the branch improved voter engagement and boosted civic participation across Collin County. These efforts aimed to give residents the information, access, and opportunities they need to take part in the democratic process.

Along with voter engagement, Jenkins focused on developing young leaders and supporting education. She backed programs that mentor youth and work to close gaps in local schools.
